Establishing the division of refractory heart failure treatment in the Department of Cardiology, and the division of heart transplantation / treatment with ventricular assist device in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, and the division of pediatric refractory heart failure treatment and pediatric treatment with ventricular assist device in the Department of Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery, respectively and; by integrating these four divisions as the Refractory Heart Failure Treatment Center, specialists in each area from cardiology, surgery, neonates to adults provide the most advanced cardiac therapy under the thorough patient-centric principle without a boundary (Patient Oriented) and provide intensive treatment of heart failure
Target diseases
Ischemic cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (including diastolic hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), myocarditis (fulminant myocarditis, etc.), cardiac sarcoidosis, cardiac amyloidosis, etc. and the cardiac diseases approved by the subcommittee for heart transplant indication of the Japanese Circulation Society
