We offer diagnosis and treatment of the cardiac disease in general for children. We also respond to patients who need treatment for adult congenital heart disease.
Diagnosis of fetal heart disease has become possible to some extent from prenatal because the performance of ultrasonic diagnostic equipment has improved in recent years. In cooperation with Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Saitama Medical University Hospital, our hospital has planned and performed diagnosis of cardiac disease from prenatal and treatment from fetal stage or immediately after delivery. Thanks to this, the outcome of the treatment for severe congenital heart disease children has improved.
In the area of congenital heart disease, catheter treatment has been improving like in the adult area, and the types of disease as well as the number of patients that can be treated are increasing year by year. For the treatment that cannot be performed without getting facility certification such as atrial septal defect and patent ductus arteriosus, we acquired the first certification in Japan to treat a large number of patients.
We also take care of the postoperative adult congenital heart disease.
We perform catheter ablation for the patients who want catheter ablation for pediatric arrhythmia and those who want the treatment of arrhythmia complicated with congenital heart disease.
In addition, please consult us with medication for hereditary arrhythmia (QT prolonged syndrome, catecholamine-induced polymorphic ventricular tachycardia, Brugada syndrome, familial sinus dysfunction syndrome, progressive conduction disturbance, idiopathic ventricular fibrillation), ICD implantation.
We also treat those who need cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), left ventricular assist device implantation (Berlin heart) due to dilated cardiomyopathy, other cardiomyopathy, or the patients with severe congestive heart failure.
