Our department mainly responds to adult cardiovascular disease in general (including peripheral vascular). Aiming at minimally invasive treatment of patients, we perform at least 98% of single coronary artery bypass surgery for ischemic heart disease with off pump bypass, without using cardiopulmonary bypass. In addition, our department is equipped with the latest hybrid operating room which can provide simultaneous combination treatment of catheter treatment and surgical operation. Being first across the country, we perform TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) aggressively. Furthermore, in medical procedure, we actively provide the treatment with ventricular assist device for severe heart failure that cannot keep hemodynamics, and in July 2010 we received certification as a heart transplant facility, and in September of the same year we performed the first case of the transplantation. In March 2011, our hospital became an implementation facility for an implantable ventricular assist device and we are positively implanting artificial heart for patients waiting for heart transplants. In our department, unless there are complications to be excluded from the surgical procedure, low left heart function and chronic maintenance dialysis patients are also considered to be operative indication, especially open surgery for dialysis patients’ accounts for 10% out of total cases.
Ischemic heart disease (angina, myocardial infarction complications), acquired valvular disease, aortic disease (true aortic aneurysm, dissecting aortic aneurysm), severe heart failure (heart transplant, ventricular assist device implantation), other heart diseases (adult congenital heart disease, cardiac tumor, etc.) and peripheral vascular disease (arterial occlusive disease, deep vein thrombosis, varicose vein, etc.)
