Medical services and specialties
We mainly provide clinical care for respiratory malignancies.
Regarding cases that would be difficult to diagnose and treat, specialists in the departments of Respiratory Medicine, Respiratory Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, and Radiation Oncology widely discuss the diagnosis and treatment for each patient, and we consider the most suitable choice for the patient by a joint conference. By presenting to a joint conference, multiple specialists will check and it will make it possible to smoothly transfer to treatment as well as eliminating oversights.
Regarding chemotherapy in our department, it is natural to perform global standard treatment, but as a university hospital, we actively participate in clinical trials and contribute to further progress of lung cancer treatment.
Target diseases
We cover not only lung cancer but also pleural mesothelioma, mediastinal tumor and so on.
