Medical services and specialties

Major tasks of Department of Diagnostics Pathology include pathological tissue diagnosis, intraoperative rapid diagnosis, cytology, anatomical pathology. Molecular pathological examinations related to diseases have recently advanced markedly and our department of Diagnostic Pathology is equipped with FISH / chromosome laboratory, and we have established a system to respond to molecular pathological search. Although there are few opportunities to contact patients directly, it is an indispensable medical work for providing high-quality medical care at the International Medical Center, and the pathologists of the staff are engaged in these tasks with laboratory technicians including cell inspectors.

Also, in the Department of Diagnostic Pathology, together with clinicians, we may participate in the outpatient clinic of second-opinion for tumor patients, aiming for a more advanced medical department than those of conventional hospitals.
